Har ki Dun (Doon) in Uttarakhand is a unique Himalayan valley situated in Uttarkashi district. Har Ki Dun is also known as "the Valley of God." Har Ki Doon trek goes through ancient villages & alongside the Supin River, that offers a unique experience of the confluence of history and nature. I started my journey from Sankri and first went to Gangaad. Gangaad is 25 KMs from Sankri, and the starting point of Har ki dun trek. I did my Har Ki Dun trek with Mr Birednra Rana, the founder of Raftaar Adventure. First evening we reached a small village named Osla. We spent night at a small homestay here. This village is believed to be many hundreds years old. Next morning we started our journey towards our first campsite. Which was setup near a place called Kalkatiadhar. Next day we trekked to har Ki Dun and cam back to homestay in evening. Talking about the name of Har ki Dun, Har means Lord Shiva and Dun means valley, that is, the valley of Lord Shiva. This valley also is called the valley of god. From here you can see the mighty Swargarohini range & Jaundhar glacier.
