La Mefite della Valle d'Ansanto

The Mefite of Valle d'Ansanto is an exceptional site located in Alta Irpinia near the towns of Rocca San Felice and Frigento (Avellino). This is a very extraordinary area, in which there are emissions of carbon dioxide mixed with hydrogen sulfide that are unequaled in the world. The most surprising thing is that these emissions are not of volcanic nature, but are related to the geology of sedimentary. Along with the extraordinary naturalistic features that are being studied, here we have the millennial fascination of a place revered already by the Osci and that still today arouses a contact with nature's power that is deep and particularly intense. With the support of the wonderful images of Roberto Marchesan's drone, this video gives an introduction to this unique place that has no equal in the world.
