BG Chapter 02 (Verses 03-10) : Surrender of Arjuna

Verse 3 - Yield not to unmanliness, O Pārtha, it does not befit you. Casting off this mean weakness of heart, arise O Parantapa. Verse 4 - How shall I, O Madhusūdana, fight with arrows against Bhīṣma and Droṇa in battle, they who are worthy of worship, O Arisūdana? Verse 5 - Better indeed is to live on alms in this world than to slay the most noble teachers; but by slaying them all my enjoyments of wealth and desires even here will be stained with blood. Verse 6 - Nor do we know which is better for us, that we should conquer them or they should conquer us. The very sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, whom having slain we do not wish to live, stand facing us. Verse 7 - My nature is overpowered by the taint of pity. With my mind confused as to duty I ask thee: Tell me decisively which is good for me. I am thy disciple. Instruct me who has taken refuge in thee. Verse 8 - I do not see that which can remove the grief which is drying up my senses even on obtaining prosperous and unrivalled kingdom on earth and lordship over the gods. Verse 9 - Having spoken thus to Hṛṣīkeśa, Guḍākeśa, the destroyer of foes, said to Govinda, “I will not fight” and became silent. Verse 10 - To him who was despondent in the midst of the two armies, Hṛṣīkeśa, smiling as it were, spoke these words, O Bhārata.
