Filmed in real time, no voiceover, full immersive Swiss Alps driving experience. 🗺️ About the route The drive starts in the lower Val d'Anniviers and ascends through tight alpine hairpins past the village of Grimentz before reaching the Moiry dam wall. From there the road follows the eastern shore of the reservoir all the way to the road's end at the glacier viewpoint. Total ascent: ~59 minutes one-way. 🏔️ About Lac de Moiry & the Moiry Glacier Lac de Moiry is a hydroelectric reservoir held back by a 148-meter arch dam completed in 1958. The lake sits at 2249m and is famous for its intense turquoise color, fed by glacial meltwater from the Moiry Glacier above. The road is one of very few in Switzerland that leads almost directly to a glacier's edge — the final kilometers open up to panoramic views of the lake, the dam wall, and the Pennine Alps ridge dividing Switzerland from Italy. 🇨🇭 Countries & regions Switzerland — Canton of Valais (Wallis), Val d'Anniviers, Sierre district.
