That gives us a little more time to keep sharing the progress we’re making around the property. Philippe digs out the soil in the covered space between the two barns, we head to the vegetable garden to harvest potatoes and plant strawberries, and we finish the last sections of the driveway with a new stone layer, including repairing an area damaged by the heavy trucks. Later in the week, our friend Jasper stops by to help us insulate the attic, something we skipped last year but definitely felt during winter. They also help secure the soil wall next to the barn with a coconut fiber mat, which will prevent erosion and create a good base for future planting.
