This mountain covers the areas of South Sumedang, Cimanggung, and Pamulihan Districts. Access and climbing routes to the top of Mount Kerenceng can be started from several points. and I happened to climb through the Basecamp in Jambuaer Village in Sindulang Village, Cimanggung District. To reach these locations, you can use public transportation towards Garut and get off at the Cicalengka Bypass. From Cicalengka Market, the journey continues by motorcycle taxi to the villages at the beginning of the climb. The top of Mount Kerenceng offers beautiful natural scenery. From the top, visitors can enjoy the panorama of green hills and valleys, making this mountain an alternative to climbing near Bandung which is not too far away. Mount Kerenceng is also the right choice for nature lovers who want to enjoy the natural beauty of West Java without climbing trails that are too extreme.
