Bridge to Brisbane recap and lessons learnt from the 2023 10km race

A recap and lessons learnt from my first 10km Bridge to Brisbane race (46.23 race time). Key lessons: 1) It's an early start, so start hydration the day before. 2) Have a good breakfast to fuel your body. 3) The public transportation is very good and goes regularly but if you are catching a bus, get on early and take a seat to save your legs. 4) Try and go to the bathroom before you get to the marshaling area, as there can be a wait time. 5) If you want a faster time, nominate into a faster category as the running and jogging group is crowded with limited warm-up and stretching area. 6) Stick to the sides of the running pack, you can get more space and it's easier to overtake (I found sticking to the left-hand side was better going up the bridge). 7) Remember safety pins for your race bib. 8) Make sure you download the Bridge to Brisbane app to get your time and race result. 9) No need to take headphones or air pods. 10) There is plenty of water stations. 11) Have fun!!! It's a great atmosphere!!! head to    • Bridge to Brisbane 10km race (2023)   for the race video.
