Also you can find connections of all trains on this App. Our ticket in this Regio The ticket of my train from Salzburg to Munich was booked by "DB Navigator". ______________________________________________________________________________________________ The time from Salzburg to Munich: Join me on a ride with the Regio Highspeed Train called Meridian from Salzburg Main Station to Munich Central Railway Station in second class. I´ve spent some days at Salzburg for working and meetings and went by train in the late afternoon back to Munich. Arriving the Main Station of Salzburg I had still some time before departure and checked out some shops of the station. To my bad surprise the train was full booked out to the last seat and only with some words I could find a window seat. Departure was on time but shortly after crossing the border to Bavaria in Germany a police immigration control was made by the police of Freilassing. In the next part to the bigger town Rosenheim, I enjoyed a majestic mountain view of the mountains of the biggest Bavarian Lake Chiemsee. From Rosenheim the train went with no stop to Munich and arrived the Central Railway Station after the sunset. More info about the “Meridian”: The Meridian is a part of the privat railway company called “Bayrische Regiobahn” and operates train connections from Munich Central Railway Station to Salzburg and the region around the Lake Chiemsee like Prien and Rosenheim. The train is crossing with its two longest destinations Salzburg and Kufstein the border to Austria. The trains are designed in six wagons with a short first-class cabin which includes 8 seats and a huge second class or known as main cabin. Also the six-part train includes some bike areas, a big toilet for wheelchair drivers and people with an handicap both three smaller lavatory rooms. Tickets for this train are the normally Bavarian ticket an extra ticket from the Bayrische Regiobahn. A returned problem of this train is like the train from the Deutsche Bahn that many trains depart and arrives delay and not on time.
