Joyce DiDonato and Time for Three: Exploring 'Emily — No Prisoner Be' on Good Morning America
Ahead of their Zellerbach Hall performance on February 7 2026, Grammy Award winners Joyce DiDonato and Time for Three visited "Good Morning America" to discuss their trailblazing collaboration, Emily – No Prisoner Be. This visionary project, commissioned from Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts, finds its inspiration in the radical, luminous poetry of Emily Dickinson. In this segment, the artists explore the "magic" of Dickinson’s interior world—one defined by themes of liberty, resonance, and the eternal. By blending the soul-stirring depth of DiDonato’s mezzo-soprano with the "rock and roll" spirit of Time for Three’s virtuosic strings, the ensemble creates a "new sound world" that transcends traditional boundaries. Joyce DiDonato, mezzo-soprano Time for Three Charles Yang, violin and vocals Nick Kendall, violin and vocals Ranaan Meyer, double bass and vocals Cal Performances presents Joyce DiDonato and Time for Three: Saturday, February 7, 2026, 8:00 PM Zellerbach Hall, UC Berkeley Tickets and Information: https://calperformances.org/events/20...
