Is distilling booze in my VAN possible? Air Still Pro

Vanlife wasn’t odd enough already, so I decided to start distilling — in my van. In this video, I finish my first fermentation, clean and set up the Air Still Pro, and run my very first distillation! From sugar wash to spirits, join me as I learn (and laugh) my way through making my first gin, whiskey and a cheeky Irish cream. 🥃 Watch the chaos, the triumphs, and find out if I actually made something drinkable! 👉 Watch the first part (where I set up the fermentation):    • Making Gin or Whiskey in my Van: A Crazy A...   CHAPTERS 0:00 – Distilling… in a Van?! Intro — I explains this new, slightly unhinged vanlife experiment and what’s coming up. 1:00 – Fermentation Check-In Checking on “the baby” wrapped in a blanket, taking temperatures, and confirming that fermentation worked (with bonus bad hair and bubble excitement). 3:00 – Is It Done or Dead? Testing the wash — hydrometer confusion, degassing, adding Turbo Clear A and B, and waiting for it to settle. 5:30 – Decanting Drama Transferring the wash into Moccona jars without stirring up the gunk (spoiler: it’s messy). 7:30 – The Clarity Test Inspecting the jars the next morning — marvelling at how clear the liquid is, and prepping for distilling day. 9:00 – Unboxing the Air Still Pro The big reveal! I unbox my new toy (plus brotherly interruptions and a cameo by “Duck”). 11:30 – Cleaning Run Following the vinegar-and-water cleaning instructions, learning the controls, and testing the still for the first time. 14:00 – First Real Distillation Run! The big moment: adding the wash, boil enhancers, and starting the first true distillation. 16:30 – My First Drops of Van Hooch 🍶 Watching the first alcohol drip out, testing the ABV, and realising it actually worked! 18:00 – Diluting and Filtering Working out the math to water it down to 40%, filtering through the carbon, and preparing to flavour. 20:30 – Gin, Whiskey & Irish Cream Experiments Making three different drinks: dark berry gin, spicy lemon malt whiskey, and homemade Irish cream. 23:30 – Taste Test Time! Tasting and reacting — gin success, surprisingly smooth whiskey, and a very chocolatey Irish cream. 26:00 – Reflections & What’s Next Talking about learning the craft, what’s next for van distilling, and how Scotland inspired it all. #Vanlife #Distilling #HelenWheels #DIYGin #CampervanLife #DIY Whiskey
