Woo Ho-cheol Word of Life Mission for Your Soul The Word of Life Mission (Korea Baptist Convention) delivers the Word of God to all people around the world. Our lives sometimes feel like an endless wilderness, and we may find ourselves discouraged amidst lack and difficulties. Even after being saved, we experience 'lack' in various aspects of life. However, the Bible testifies that during the 40 years the Israelites spent in the wilderness, He "made them lack nothing." There are three major reasons why God allows us to experience lack from time to time. 1. To help us realize His overflowing grace. God is able to do things in abundance, far beyond what we ask or imagine. Just as He provided manna and quail in abundance in the wilderness, our lack becomes a channel for experiencing God's rich filling. 2. It is to make us realize that God is always with us. In moments of crisis, the people of Israel chose to grumble, but God was with them in the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud. Moments of scarcity are times to confirm that we are not alone and that the Almighty God is walking with us. 3. It is to make us live a life that relies solely on God. He also humbles us to make us realize that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. When we acknowledge our weakness, a wise life that truly fears God begins. [Scripture] "For forty years he tended them in the fields, and they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out, nor did their feet swell." (Nehemiah 9:21) "He humbled you and made you hungry, and fed you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."
