Upon reaching the Sief pass, the Ladin Jou de le Omblìe, the wind changes the scenery: swept slopes, exposed ice, and immense views of the UNESCO mountains. Respite at the Sief Bivouac, a small shelter always open at the foot of Settsass, a strategic point for ski mountaineering and hiking. The descent follows the ascent route, with variations in the woods: not extremely steep, but continuous and fun, perfect for those who love backcountry skiing in the Dolomites. Its real strength is its compactness: small, lightweight, well-protected, and apparently very shock-resistant. The video quality is very good and leaves no room for discussion—an aspect that had been controversial with the first version. The photo quality, at least for now, is a bit disappointing in initial tests. However, if the primary goal of this drone is practicality and speed of use, thanks to automatic functions that do not require a remote control, then yes: the Neo 2 proves to be an excellent adventure companion. To activate some specific modes—like the Follow function for skiing—you need to connect it to your smartphone at least once to select it. Once set, it remains stored until changed. It avoids large obstacles well (an example at 20:14, where it managed to squeeze between a large tree trunk and the branches above), but has more difficulty with thin branches. During the descent, it suffered two small crashes because of these, but without any consequences. The wind puts it to the test: it manages to fight it, but with difficulty. And wind, as we know, is always a critical factor for any drone.
