An unforgettable day of ski mountaineering in the Dolomites to the summit of Monte Specie (Strudelkopf), one of the most spectacular panoramic views in the Alps. We set out from Carbonin (Schluderbach), crossing silent forests and gentle slopes to the Rifugio Vallandro (Dürrensteinhütte), before continuing toward the summit. The day is perfect: clear skies, warm sunshine, and still excellent snow conditions. But the most exciting moment comes at the summit, when the view suddenly opens onto the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most famous panoramas in the Dolomites. After a break at the Rifugio Vallandro (Dürrensteinhütte), we round out the day with a fast descent along the well-trodden forest trail.
