Hellur there viewers, This was the favorite place I went to in all of my gap year solo travels. The feeling of the city was so intimate, slower, and yet with such a vibrant arts scene that it was simultaneously calming and inspiring. It was a bit of a shock that the public transit wasn't so good, but I ended up going to plenty of walking-distance places. I had a tremendous amount of fun food hunting (milkfish, yolk-soy-rice, fruity Americanos), learning about Taiwanese literature and visiting historical department stores.
