hanoi, vietnam — cafés, street food & quiet museums | gap travels ep. 1

This is the first place I traveled in my gap year travels. I am planning on working my way down to the south of Vietnam, and it's my first time being in Southeast Asia. I prioritized walking around and trying as much of the local food and coffee as possible, whilst also going to museums like the Women's museum and Museum of Ethnology to understand the rich, warm, yet turbulent history of how Vietnam arrived at the communist government it is today. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, with a distinctly traditional feel to the Old Quarter and the French Quarter where I spent much of my time.
