Known as Ella to her family, the beautiful Elisabeth Feodorovna of Russia was Grand Duchess Consort of Russia after her marriage to Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich. She later became a nun and endured the tumultuous political changes during the fall of the Russian Empire, as well as their tragic consequences for her and her entire family.
