Val Ferret: Salita al Rifugio Boccalatte-Piolti - HD 1080

The video describes the climb from Planpincieux, in Val Ferret, to the Boccalatte-Piolti refuge, 2,806 m, in the magnificent setting of the Grandes Jorasses, in the Mont Blanc massif. The route begins on a normal trail and then heads steeply toward the base of the Grandes Jorasses; some sections are equipped with ladders and ropes. Difficulty: F. Rock max. Grade II (with equipment), steep trail. Elevation gain: 1,213 m (the video continues beyond the refuge to the edge of the glacier, for a total elevation gain of approximately 1,400 m). Equipment: Boots with good grip. Helmet recommended, and possibly a harness and lanyard for safety on ropes (not strictly necessary).
