Loutjie De Jongh has a long and distinguished career in the plastics industry, starting his career in 1978 with Nampak. At Nampak Loutjie held various positions, ending his career with Nampak as MD of Megapak. Currently Loutjie is the MD of MPC, a position which he has held for 20 years. He started the Materials Handling business for Linpac, a British company with the goal of making the best large bin in the World, and that was the birth of Mpact’s Jumbo Bin. Later when Linpac decided to exit the African market the business was sold to Mondi and then on to Mpact. Loutjie who is a shareholder of MPC has been the MD of Mpact Plastic Containers for over 20 years and is passionate about the business. Being an expert in the field of business growth, Loutjie holds a B Comm in marketing and accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Pretoria. He is also a board member of the Plastic Convertors Association of South Africa and former chairman of the Plastic Convertors Association of South Africa.
