ERDE – Collection and recycling of agricultural plastics in Germany and Switzerland How can agricultural plastics be collected and recycled efficiently? The presentation explains how manufacturers, farmers, collection partners and recyclers cooperate through a shared responsibility approach to increase recycling and reduce plastic waste. Topics include: how the ERDE system is organised the principle of shared responsibility collection points and mobile collection schemes sorting requirements and quality control recycling processes for agricultural plastic films production of high-quality recycled raw materials experiences, results and future development of the system The presentation provides valuable insights into how well-organised collection and recycling systems can support a more circular use of agricultural plastics. This presentation was recorded during a webinar 24.06.2026 organised by Forum Landbruksplast, the County Governor of Vestland, Norges Vel, Norway.
