DANA: La DELEGADA del GOBIERNO llamó TRES VECES a la GENERALITAT para OFRECER MEDIOS | RTVE

The Valencian Government Delegate, Pilar Bernabé, explained to TVE that on the day of the DANA, she called Salomé Pradas, the Minister of Justice and Head of Emergencies for the Valencian Community, three times to warn her and offer resources. It was at 2:00 p.m. on October 29th that the minister requested UME personnel, but only for Utiel, and called a meeting for 5:00 p.m. at the Emergency Center, known as CECOPI. The Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, the Civil Guard, the Fire Department, Civil Protection, and the government delegate attended. The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, arrived two hours later. Mazón denies that she was having a private meal; she says it was "a working lunch." At 7:00 p.m., the mayor of Paiporta, María Isabel Albalat, contacted the regional government representative by phone to inform her that her town "was flooding and that many people were going to die." It was at 8:11 p.m. that the first alert was sent to citizens' cell phones urging them to avoid travel. That warning arrived too late; hundreds of people were trapped. #dana #danamanagement #carlosmazón #pilarbernabé #salomépradas #paiporta #valenciancommunity #news #livenews #streamingnews #live #spain #spanishnews #news 👉👉 More news: https://www.rtve.es/noticias ➤SUBSCRIBE to RTVE News on YouTube: https://bit.ly/2WtyvUx ✔️Follow us on Instagram:   / rtvenoticias   ✔️Follow us on Twitter:   / rtvenoticias   ✔️Follow us on Facebook:   / rtvenoticias
