Around 80% of Europe's digital infrastructure and technology comes from outside the EU. The digital market is dominated by US giants like Google, Microsoft, and Apple, and by Chinese conglomerates like Alibaba and ByteDance, owner of TikTok. Therefore, the European Commission has approved an investment of €450 billion to reduce our technological dependence on other countries. It will be implemented over 10 years.
