Goodbye to all the TriMet MAX Type 1 Light Rail Cars

TriMet officially retired the Type 1 LRVs on 4/18/2026, a process that took several years. The Type 1s were built by Bombardier from 1983 to 1986 and debuted in service in September 1986 with the opening of the MAX system. This video shows all 26 LRVs over the years. Only one will be preserved for future generations to enjoy at the Oregon Electric Railway Museum in Brooks, Oregon.
