TriMet MAX Better Red Opening Day Featuring Type 6, Better Red Wrap, and Gillig Phantom Bus

8/28/2024 marks the official opening of the Red line extension to the Hillsboro Airport station. Tho the trains have been running since sunday, Wednesday was when all the big opening events took place. I went to Orenco Station to film the combined red and blue line service that now goes out this far. While i was there, i saw a Gillig Phantom running a shuttle bus service, a Better Red wrapped type 3, and a Type 6 test train. I also met ‪@trimet101‬ there. After Orenco, i went to the end of the blue line to see the type 6 set, which was being decorated in a flowery better red sign on the front of the train.
