This unique vintage footage was shot on 16 mm film at various locales in Portugal between 1961-1964. It centers on Nazaré, both at beachside and from the clifftop, but it also shows Caldas da Rainha on market day. The fishermen of Nazaré used oxen to pull their boats back onto the sand from the waves, and whole families - even small children - worked in some way to support their families.
