GBO2 Heavy GM Kai: An endless barrage of lead!

This video contains three matches I had with the recently released GM Kai Heavy Type on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 400-550 cost support with high mobility, fairly good melee ability, a wide variety of ballistic weapons with both high DPS and good stagger potential, access to LV1 Bullet Feeder, alongside stagger resistance while using stop to fire weapons. It suffers from mediocre walking speed and from having shorter engagement range than other supports, but it is otherwise really strong. I hope that you enjoy watching! Its primary weapon at LV1 is a bazooka with 1500 power, 12 ammo, 7.4 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds reload, 1.7 seconds swap time, 375m range and 80% stagger value. This has longer range than your other weapons, and can deal fairly high damage thanks to type advantage and the suits high ranged strength, but is otherwise not that great. It is still a pretty reliable combo starter though. Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 1900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 140% downswing modifier. This has average power, but thanks to type advantage, it can deal surprisingly high damage against generals. It shares the same downswing animation as the Stark Jegan, and is easy to use since the MS has balancers and medium melee priority. Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 70x2 power, 50 ammo, 450 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 175m range, 1050 DPS and 3%x2 stagger value. This has high DPS and can stagger in about 2.2 seconds, making it incredibly useful for keeping up pressure while your stronger weapons are reloading. Its second sub weapon is a 6 tube missile launcher with 400x6 power, 12 ammo, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 10%x6 stagger value. This has short range and stops to fire, but each shot instant staggers. You can shift your aim while it is firing to stagger multiple enemies, or focus the entire burst on a single enemy to stagger them twice. Its third sub weapon is a GM rifle with 170 power, 30 ammo, 565 RPM, 7 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range, 1600 DPS and 7% stagger value. Despite being a sub weapon, this has practically identical performance to the primary version of the GM rifle. It fires in three round bursts if you tap the trigger, and has theoretically incredible DPS in full auto mode, but the horrible spread makes it inaccurate past about 100m distance. It can totally delete a general if you get the chance to dump it at point blank. Its fourth sub weapon is a pair of missile pods with 550x3 power, 6 ammo, 1 second cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 25%x3 stagger value. These function nearly identically to the Stark Jegan's missile pods, but with less power and stagger value to accommodate for 400 cost. They have a large splash radius and they follow the reticule after being fired. The LV1 Heavy GM Kai has 15500 HP, 19 ballistic resist, 16 beam resist and 10 melee resist. It has above average HP for 400 cost, and it gets +2000 per level, meaning that it becomes very durable at higher costs. It gets LV1 Immobile Firing System as a defensive skill, with Damage Control being granted at 450 cost and higher. In terms of mobility it has 110 walking speed, 180 boosting speed, 50 thrust and 57 turning speed. It has somewhat slow walking speed and below average thrust reserves, but is otherwise really fast for a support. It is nearly as fast as a general, making it easy for it to push up and play aggressively. In conclusion, I feel that the GM Kai Heavy Type is very strong. It is very self sufficient for a support, it can set up its allies with staggers (and even downswings when opportunity permits), alongside being able to nuke out of position enemy generals. It gets really good scaling on level ups, so it should be really strong at 450 and maybe even 500 cost too. Apart from a Gunner Gundam that is being protected 24/7 on a big map, I think that this is the strongest 400 cost support, so I can highly recommend it. 30 tokens for a meta support is a really good deal.
