Featured are Osaka pine cultivated for corporate rental displays, a large Osaka pine that has spent years growing in a wooden training box, and a collected Japanese red pine that has endured for many years in nature. Even among pines, the approach to repotting and root work can differ greatly depending on each tree's history and condition. Reconsidering planting angles, working and reducing roots, pot pairing, and making cultivation decisions with the future of the tree in mind. What may appear to be bold work at first glance is, in reality, a series of careful decisions made for the tree's future.
