【青森で震度6強】現時点で原子力施設に影響なし（0830現在）(2026年6月25日)

At approximately 7:30 AM on the 25th, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Iwate Prefecture. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake reached a depth of 50 kilometers. While there may have been some slight sea level fluctuations, there is no concern about a tsunami. Seismic intensities were recorded as follows: intensity 6+ in Hashikami Town, Aomori Prefecture; intensity 6- in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture; and intensity 5+ in various locations in Aomori and Iwate Prefectures. According to JR East, the Tohoku Shinkansen is suspended between Tokyo Station and Shin-Aomori Station, and the Akita Shinkansen is also suspended between Morioka Station and Akita Station. There is currently no estimate for when these services will resume. Some Yamagata Shinkansen trains are suspended or experiencing delays. The Hokuriku Shinkansen and Joetsu Shinkansen are operating normally. According to the Nuclear Regulation Authority, as of 8:00 AM, there are no abnormalities at Tohoku Electric Power's Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant in Miyagi Prefecture, Higashidori Nuclear Power Plant in Aomori Prefecture, or Tokyo Electric Power's Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Plants. Furthermore, there are no abnormalities at the "Recycled Fuel Storage" facility in Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture, or Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited's reprocessing facility in Rokkasho Village. According to the Japan Road Traffic Information Center, some sections of expressways in Aomori and Iwate prefectures, including the Hachinohe Expressway and Momoiseki Expressway, are closed to traffic. According to Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, no abnormalities have been found on the runways at airports in the Tohoku region. While there may be some delays, flights will resume as soon as confirmation is received.
