A strong earthquake with a maximum intensity of 6+ was observed in Aomori Prefecture around 7:30 AM today. Here are some images of the scene during the earthquake in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, and Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. In viewer-submitted footage, seemingly from inside a private home in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, rattling noises can be heard, and ceiling lights can be seen swaying violently from side to side. Pictures have also fallen from the wall and are scattered on the floor. At Shin-Aomori Station, elementary school students can be seen evacuating outside the station.
