One of my most scenic rides - NZ Backroads

This is easily one of the most scenic motorcycle rides I've had in a long time. In this video, I explore the stunning and remote landscapes of New Zealand's Taranaki and Manawatū-Whanganui regions. The goal was to tick off a few more dead-end roads, leading me through the historic, hand-carved Tangahoe Tunnel and the remote Pukekino Landing. I also couldn't resist a road with a sign that says "Extreme Care Next 19km"—Mataiwhetu Road was just as interesting as it promised! Of course, no adventure is complete without a surprise. A planned loop near Taumaranui was cut short by a completely washed-away road, but the detour resulted in an unexpected encounter with an ostrich!
