The Jeep Compass was launched in Brazil in 2016 in its second generation, the first with a global platform from the FCA group. Presented as a city SUV but without losing its off-road DNA, it quickly gained ground in the car market and became one of the leaders in its category. In 2021, Jeep introduced the new 1.3 turbo engine with up to 185 hp and it was installed in the Compass first. Consumers liked the performance, but initial problems with excessive oil consumption marked the first year of this new 1.3 turbo engine from Stellantis. The oil consumption problem of Jeep turbo engines was solved, but the most demanding consumers wanted a sportier version, with a more powerful engine, that had car-like performance for overtaking and was also fun. With the launch of the RAM Rampage and its new 272 hp Hurricane 4 engine, consumers soon asked for it to be installed in the Jeep Compass. And now they have been answered! Launched in two new versions, the new Jeep Compass Huricane 4 with a 272 hp engine and 40.8 kgfm of torque can be found in the Overland and Black Hawk versions.
