July 19, 2026, Combined Worship Service at Second Baptist Church of Suffield, CT

Welcome to our Worship Service for Sunday, July 19, 2026, the eighth Sunday after Pentecost, at Second Baptist Church of Suffield. For the month July we are holding combined services with our neighbors from First Church of Christ Congregational UCC and West Suffield Congregational Church. Preaching today is the Pastor from West Suffield, Rev. Denise Peterson. Her sermon is based on two scripture passages: Psalm 139: 1-12, 23-24 from the Old Testament and Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 from the New Testament. The music this morning is being performed by Organist/Pianist Amy Pott from First Church. Her piano Prelude is “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” by Sebastian Temple, arranged by Mark Hayes. The Anthem, also played on the piano, is "How Can I keep From Singing?" by Robert Lowry, arranged by Marcia Wells and the Postlude, which will be played on the organ, is “Trumpet Piece” from Voluntary in C by William Boyce. The Children's Message today will be provided by Sue Schneller, Director of Christian Education. Worship Leader for today is Bob Loomis.
