Rotten Log to Demented Pac-Man

I have used this stabilizing technique on a few projects, and I wanted to try it on a larger scale. This chunk of maple I started with came from a tree that fell over 5 years ago, and it had been kicking around my shop slowly decaying, spalting, and rotting until I finally built a wood-drying kiln last year. Needless to say, this chunk of wood probably would have been rejected even as firewood given how far-gone it was, but for my purposes that was what made it so enticing. Thanks to @TotalBoat and @bessemeter for supporting my work! TotalBoat's Penetrating Epoxy was the mvp in preventing this piece from shattering, and Bessemeter's DS500 moisture meter was super useful. The 1/4 and 3/4 inch depth measurements were essential in determining how dry the final form would be. Bessemeter is offering a 10% discount for my viewers "DavidAdamsen10", so check it out!
