A Bagua Movement to Explore in Your Tai Chi Silk Reeling Practice
Want to learn Tai Chi & Qigong but don't know where to start?👉 https://www.skool.com/rootedalchemy Want to learn Kung Fu and other Chinese Martial Arts?👉 / @sonnymannonkungfu 🌱 Today's Practice: This practice blends Bagua principles with a flowing silk reeling sequence centered around Piercing Palm. You will explore how the hands, waist, feet, and breath work together to create smooth, connected movement while developing coordination, body awareness, and whole-body flow. By gradually adding layers such as turning, spiraling, stepping, and box walking, you will build a deeper understanding of how Bagua principles can enhance both martial movement and mindful practice. Life has a way of pulling our attention in a hundred different directions. The challenge is that many people experience these moments of calm during a practice session, but struggle to make them part of everyday life. What you need isn't another random follow along video on YouTube. What you need is a clear, guided path so you can: • Know what to work on next • Stay consistent • Build momentum in your practice Videos can be a great starting point, but without a clear path and structure, it's easy to fall off track. When your practice becomes irregular, it's much harder to experience the positive changes these arts can offer. Inside our community, you'll receive step-by-step guidance each week and support from like-minded people who are on the same journey as you, helping you stay accountable, consistent, and motivated. We offer a free trial so you have plenty of time to explore the community before making a decision. So why wait? Unlock your free trial today and see how these practices can impact your life when you commit to yourself consistently for just one week👉 https://www.skool.com/rootedalchemy 📥 Business Inquiries [email protected] 🛍️ Get our Rooted Alchemy T-shirts, hoodies, Tai Chi stick, and more here 🛍️ https://rootedalchemy.shop/ ☯️ Who Am I: “Student Always, Teacher Sometimes.” This mindset sets the tone for my lifelong journey in Chinese internal arts. I am a Tai Chi/Qigong practitioner and teacher with over 15 years of dedicated study, beginning in Southern California with Praying Mantis Kung Fu and Yang Style Tai Chi, and later continuing in Seattle under Andrew T. Dale, where I immersed myself in Chen Style Tai Chi, Bagua Zhang, and the internal principles that still guide my practice today. In 2007, I moved to Beijing, China, spending eight years training intensively with masters Zhang Wei Dong and Liu Zu Guang, refining my Tai Chi, Bagua Zhang, internal body mechanics, and traditional training methods while also studying Shuai Jiao and Da Bei Quan. During this time, I became the first foreigner awarded a Shuai Jiao Coach’s Certificate in China and co-founded the Guang Wu Shuai Jiao Association to help spread traditional Chinese martial arts internationally. My teaching emphasizes authentic Tai Chi and Qigong—rooted in structure, breath, intention, and internal alignment—to support sustainable practice, real skill development, and long-term vitality. Above all, stay rooted and remain open🌱
