Persian Chicken & Rice That Everyone Loves | Zereshk Polo🍛🍗

Hello again to all my wonderful friends! Because of the war that broke out in my country between the US and Iran, our internet was down for about 3 months, which is why it took me this long to upload a new video. ​Today, I’ve decided to make one of the most famous and popular Iranian dishes for you: Zereshk Polo ba Morgh (Barberry Rice with Chicken). As you may know, this is a classic Persian dish often served at special gatherings and important events, from weddings to funerals. ​To make this delicious meal the simple way: First, wash and clean the chicken thoroughly, then make three shallow cuts on each piece with a knife. This time, I seasoned the chicken with turmeric, salt, and pepper first. Next, prepare the sauce, add it to the chicken, and stir well so the flavors infuse. Add about 4 cups of water, making sure it doesn't completely cover the chicken. You can adjust the consistency of the sauce—whether thick or runny—according to your taste. For the rice, we sauté the barberries with saffron and mix it in. Oh, and I made a delicious Tahchin for the Tahdig (the crispy rice layer)! ​I hope you love this recipe and enjoy the video!"
