The Ride That Reminded Me Why I Built the Van | Banff Legacy Trail

Leaving Calgary and heading toward Idaho for the TaterTOT Recumbent Rally, I made a quick stop that turned into one of my favorite rides of the Van & Trike Tour — the Legacy Trail to Banff. This 26 km path links Canmore to Banff through pristine mountain wilderness, following the base of the Canadian Rockies. Riding it solo gave me a rare moment of quiet — just me, my trike, and endless alpine beauty. Along the way, I share a little story from my past — the time I had a job mowing lawns… for exactly one day. After finishing the ride, I got back on the road toward Kimberly, to visit Granden and Myra Bertrand at their home before continuing south.
