🎣 Chasing Flathead... Then Going Back to What I Know 🌊 Today's mission was something a little different for the Salty Badger crew. With good conditions on offer, I headed onto the local sand flats in search of flathead. Now I'll be the first to admit it – flathead fishing isn't exactly my specialty. I gave it my best shot and managed to find plenty of fish, but unfortunately they were all undersized and sent back to grow a little bigger. The session also included a visit from the local Water Police, who carried out a routine safety check. A big thank you to the officers for the professional job they do keeping everyone safe on the water. It's always great to see safety being taken seriously out there. After striking out on the quality flathead, I made the decision to head back to the type of fishing I know and love – the local Wollongong reefs. That decision paid off. The snapper were waiting, and we managed to finish the day with some quality fish and a great feed for the table. One thing that really stood out during this trip was just how versatile the Bar Crusher 615C is. From drifting shallow sand flats to working offshore reef grounds around Wollongong, it's the perfect platform for adapting to changing conditions and fishing styles throughout the day. Sometimes fishing is all about adapting, learning new techniques, and knowing when to switch gears.
