Speaking ahead of bilateral talks, Tokayev said he had received messages from Europe and the United States regarding the conflict and argued that significant progress had previously been made during the Istanbul negotiations. He called for a renewed peace process backed by international guarantees, while stressing that Kazakhstan would not act as a mediator.
