He Leads Me

"He Leads Me" — Psalm 23:2–3 / Isaiah 42:16 There was a season when I could not see a single step ahead. Not because the situation was unclear. Because the path God was asking me to walk did not have visible markers. No sign. No map. No confirmation that the direction I was moving was the right one. Just the instruction to keep moving and the terrifying reality that I could not see where moving was leading. And I learned a prayer in that season that I have prayed more times than I can count since. Lord I cannot see You. Hold my hand. Lead me on the right path. Not my path. The right one. Every time I have prayed it He has answered it. Not by making the path immediately clear. By making His presence immediately felt. And His presence on the path is the whole thing. The destination matters. The clarity matters. But the hand that holds yours through the uncertainty matters most because without it the clearest path in the world is still terrifying to walk alone. He leads me beside still waters. He leads me in paths of righteousness. He leads. Not once. Not at the beginning. He leads. The whole way. The whole time. His hand in yours on the path you cannot yet see. You do not have to see it.
