I Don't Know How He has never called me to something He was not prepared to equip me for

"I Don't Know How" — Proverbs 16:9 / Isaiah 42:16 Moses said who am I that I should go. Gideon said how can I save Israel. Mary said how will this be. Jeremiah said I do not know how to speak. Every person God called said some version of I don't know how. And not one of them was told the full how before the yes was required. The yes comes first. The how comes with the going. I have the yes. What I do not have is the how. The practical. The step by step. And I have been treating the absence of the how as a reason to wait when maybe the absence of the how is just the invitation to discover that He provides the how as I go. I don't know how to build what He is asking me to build. I don't know how to reach who He is asking me to reach. I don't know how to sustain what He is asking me to sustain. And I am learning that the not-knowing is not the obstacle I thought it was. It is the space where He gets to show up and show off. I don't know how. But I know Who. And He has never called me to something He was not prepared to equip me for. That is enough.
