The variety of places to visit that South Tyrol offers is really incomparable. For us, it was time to visit with the kids the Resia (Reschen) lake with the sad story of the town of Curon - Venosta. You may have seen already some pictures of this famous steeple in the lake, but that's really just the tip of the iceberg. The story behind the steeple of the town of Curon is a sad one. A story of the inhabitants of this town that had to leave their homes because of the construction of a water dam. There is a beautiful book (just in Italian and German language) with many pictures about the old town of Curon and stories from the inhabitants.
