Matchless Model X Service Part 5.

This set of videos looks at servicing my recently acquired 1937 Matchless Model X motorcycle. The bike was in storage foe the last 4 years and is now in need a full and thorough service before I even attempt to start it, let alone take it for its first ride. This video shows the primary chaincase being reassembled after the chains had been adjusted and lubricated. The steel outer chaincase is fitted followed by the clutch basket, clutch centre and clutch plates. The clutch cover is then fitted, the chain tension checked and the job is finished.
