1940 Matchless 990cc V-Twin Model X
Here it is! My new Matchless Model X! I'm so excited about it! It's a 990cc V-Twin with a side valve engine and girder forks. I've always wanted a bike with girder forks - and a V-Twin to boot! These engines were used by Brough in their famous Brough Superior motorcycles - and they look wonderful!! This video shows it just after delivery, and in the next few days I'll get it fettled (it's been in storage for 4 years) and hopefully get it out for its first ride on Sunday!!
