In this video, we see the coupling phases at Verona Porta Nuova between the Vectron locomotive 1293 048 and the Railjet 82 Ancona-Munich line, which is making its rounds in Verona. Nowadays, it's increasingly difficult to witness this type of "open-air" operation given the increase in electric trains and stalled trains. After arriving at Track 3 from Bologna, locomotive 193 is moved from the end and brought slightly closer to the last car until it touches the buffers. Here, the operator enters the space between the two vehicles and, lifting the locomotive's movable link (ring), inserts it into the car's hook. The handle of the central screw is then rotated to lock the vehicles and prevent them from colliding while running. The red and yellow brake lines and the REC connectors for lights and heating are then connected. ENJOY THE SHOW!
