Another fantastic record from Canada's Brenda Lee. Charted in the Top 10 in Calgary, Alberta in June 1962 and the Top 20 on the Canadian CHUM chart in Toronto, Ontario. This song was also recorded by Paul Petersen, Johnny Burnette and Mark Dwayne as "The Poorest Boy In Town". Original Billboard review: "Lass comes through with a personable performance on this bright ditty which has also been waxed on a couple of other labels. It could take off due to the vocal and arrangement." Written by Fred Tobias and Lee Pockriss. B-side is "A Date With Loneliness", which I've also posted. It was another dynamite side and also a hit in Canada.
