Strickmuster No. 18 - Ajourmuster, Bogenspitze stricken

In this video, I'll show you how to knit a pretty lace pattern that creates a scalloped edge at the bottom. It's perfect for scarves, but it's also very suitable for tops, sweaters, or cardigans. CAST-ON | STITCH COUNT For the pattern, you need a stitch count that's divisible by 10. Add 1 extra stitch to the cast-on stitch (not needed in rounds) to ensure the pattern opens up at the edge. Additionally, cast on 2 edge stitches. As a multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 A slip edge, for example, is suitable as an edge stitch (which I'm working in this video). However, you can also work any other type of edge stitch. KNITTING CHART The pattern consists of 10 rows (5 pattern rows and 5 purl rows) 1st row (right side): ss, purl all stitches, ss 2nd row (wrist side): ss, knit all stitches, ss 3rd row (right side): ss, * k1, yarn over, k3, m3, yarn over * k1, ss 4th row (wrist side): ss, purl all stitches, ss 5th row (right side): ss, * k2, yarn over, k2, m3, yarn over, k1 * k1, ss 6th row (wrist side): ss, purl all stitches, ss 7th row (right side): ss, * k3, yarn over, k1, m3, yarn over, k2 * k1, ss 8th row (wrist side): ss, purl all stitches, ss 9th row (right side): ss, * k4, yarn over, 3 k3tog, yarn over, k3tog * k1, sc 10th row (wrist row): sc, purl all, sc Repeat rows 1-10 continuously. IN ROUNDS: If you want to work the pattern in the round, cast on a number of stitches divisible by 10. Knit the pattern rounds as above, but only the part between the asterisks continuously. In the rounds in between, purl all stitches in round 2, knit all stitches in rounds 4, 6, 8, and 10, and yarn overs twisted. Key: RS = front row RS = wrong row ss = edge stitch k = knit stitch p = purl stitch yo = yarn over k3tog = slip 1 stitch, knit the next two together, and pass the slipped stitch over the two knit-together stitches.
