The Curious Practitioner August 2024

Target Audience: People who work or volunteer with children and young people and may be in a position to spot safeguarding concerns. Session Aim: This event is to share some of the learning from Rapid Reviews that has been similar or the same across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR). It is open to anyone who works with children and families across LLR. Where there is a referral about a serious harm or death to a child and there is abuse or neglect suspected or known, a Safeguarding Children Partnership will first conduct a Rapid Review. A Rapid Review is a multi-agency process which considers the circumstances of the referral. The purpose of the Rapid Review is to identify and act upon immediate learning and consider if there is additional learning which could be identified through a wider Child Safeguarding Practice Review (CSPR). If no further learning is identified then a CSPR might not be conducted, however Rapid Reviews are not published although the learning needs to be shared. At this event we will be talking about developing curious practitioners, with current themes of shared learning from Rapid Reviews across LLR.
