Welshpool VE & VJ 50th Anniversary Celebrations

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the end of World War 2 Welshpool celebrated by recreating the original celebrations nearly half a century earlier. Organised by Welshpool Town Council in conjunction with the Welshpool Branch of the Royal British Legion, other ex service organisations and local volunteers the activities and events were recorded for prosperity and include the following - Children's Fancy Dress procession Family Sports Day on Recreation Grounds Street Party on Broad Street Church Parade & Wreath Laying Evening Concert This video has been uploaded as part of the Memories of Welshpool project.
