Аким среди потерпевших: блогера Букенова судят за мошенничество

The trial of blogger Aibolat Bukenov, accused of fraud, began today in the Uralsk City Court. Judge Dinara Gilmanova is presiding over the trial. Investigators have charged Aibolat Bukenov under Article 190, Part 3 – "Fraud." Nine people have been harmed by his actions, Prosecutor Askhat Tleuliyev announced in court today. In one case, Bukenov promised to help a flood victim find housing, and in another, to raise money for a book. According to the charges, he used the funds for personal gain. One of the victims is Kapanov, Akim of the Zhanazhol Rural District. According to the charges, Bukenov posted messages alleging the akim's abuse of office: the akim allegedly used a tractor and car belonging to the akimat for personal use, and demanded money from Kapanov, promising to delete the posts. In the video, the prosecutor details how the akim resolved this issue with Bukenov. Kapanov repeatedly transferred money to Bukenov, but Bukenov continued to publish posts and demand more payments. After this, the mayor filed a complaint with the National Security Committee. Bukenov was detained while handing over 200,000 tenge. In court, Bukenov admitted his guilt when questioned by the judge. The prosecutor, reading the charges, stated that Bukenov spent part of the money he received on bets. Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides for punishment in the form of a fine, community service, or imprisonment for up to four years.
