The owner of a clothing store on the Sojiji-dori Shopping Street in Monzencho, Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, has been recording and sharing information about the area around Sojiji Temple's main temple, the shopping street, and the activities of the Monzen Branch of the Wajima City Fire Department, from the time of the earthquake to the present, in order to help with recovery. After the previous earthquake (the Noto Peninsula Earthquake) 17 years ago, I feel like many people declined interview requests due to concerns about reputational damage. However, I believe we cannot continue doing the same thing this time. Furthermore, the Noto Heavy Rains occurred on September 21st. Monzencho, Wajima City, became a double disaster area. I hope to continue recording.
