【ルポ】「地域の宝 つなぎたい」～後編～ 奥能登に伝わる「御陣乗太鼓」

More than six months have passed since the Noto Peninsula earthquake on New Year's Day. With reconstruction efforts in the region lagging behind, the holding of summer festivals on the Noto Peninsula is in jeopardy. The Gojinjo Daiko (Gojinjo Taiko) of Nafune-cho, Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is also facing difficulties in passing on its traditions. It's a traditional performing art passed down by men for over 400 years. The village was temporarily isolated, forcing the group to evacuate en masse, and the taiko members were scattered. Temporary housing has been completed locally, but it's unclear how many people will return. The number of evacuees from the earthquake across the prefecture remains at over 2,000, accelerating the depopulation of the Noto Peninsula. What now of this local treasure that energized and connected people? This is the second part of a documentary following the efforts of local residents seeking to pass on their traditions despite the disaster.
